afterstep software package provides window manager with the NEXTSTEP look and feel, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install afterstep
afterstep is installed in your system.
Make ensure the afterstep package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep afterstep *
You will get with afterstep package name, version, architecture and description in a table
